Charles Kelley, the co-lead vocalist and founding member of the country music trio Lady A, has been diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer.

In a video he shared on Instagram Tuesday alongside his wife, Cassie McConnell Kelley, the singer said he has multiple myeloma.

"Hey everybody, just wanted to give a quick update on some health issues I'm dealing with," he said. "I had this — a couple random rib fractures that happened, which sparked my doctor into having me do several different blood tests."

Kelley continued, "And one of the blood tests we did, they found a blood cancer in there called multiple myeloma and it's rare."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that multiple myeloma is a type of blood cancer where too many plasma cells crowd "out normal cells in the bone marrow that make red blood cells, platelets and other white blood cells."

The CDC adds that it's the most common type of plasma cell tumor and develops in the bone marrow and can spread throughout the body. According to the agency, scientists are still unclear about why some people get myeloma and others don't, but age is the most significant risk factor.

Men are also more likely than women to develop myeloma, according to the CDC.

Despite the diagnosis, the "Need You Now" singer said he is hopeful.

"I'm young, I feel healthy, and the treatments, I will have to say, have just come so far, even in the past five years that, even a life expectancy is just far exceeds what it used to be," he said, adding that he has leaned on a friend of his who is also diagnosed with multiple myeloma.

He talked about upcoming shows lined up with Lady A, including several Christmas shows. He also mentioned that he has the first six months of treatment but didn't specify when that will be. However, Kelley said that he doesn't believe that it will be "too super invasive."

"I can still work," he said. "I think physically I will feel like myself. I'll have tough days, but you know, I wanna keep working. Even going out last weekend after even knowing the news, it was like this is where I belong."

Kelley continued, "I need to be happy and doing what I love to do and spending and soaking up as much time with my family as I can as well. But I'm hopeful, I really am and we just want to let you all know and I'll try to let you in when I feel like it's appropriate throughout the journey and it's just another hurdle and you know I'm pretty confident that we're going to get through it."

Previously, Kelley has been open about his sobriety journey. After starting recovery in August 2022, he has spoken in depth about the process with his fans.

"It helped me so much," he said. "I think in the same spirit of the way we've kind of shared a lot of my sobriety journey just getting this stuff off your chest is so freeing and it takes the power away from it a little but that we wanted to let you know what was going on."

He added, "We're going to get through it. I think in sobriety, it's all about one day at a time and that we're not in control and so that's the way we're looking at it.

In the comments section of Kelley's post, his fellow band members shared their support.

Hillary Scott wrote, "The strongest duo right here! Love y'all so much! You've got this!"

Dave Haywood added, "Covering you in prayer brother. Love y’all. We’re all here for you!"

The creators of Heated Rivalry are giving back.

Accent Aigu Entertainment, the production company behind the hit hockey romance series, has launched the Irina Foundation in support of LGBTQIA+ and underserved communities in sports and the arts.

Kate Spade New York is the charity’s inaugural donor, with men’s grooming brand Harry’s also named as an early supporter of the fund.

“For many of us, some of life’s most meaningful moments happen on a team, in a studio or on a stage - places where we find our people, discover what lights us up and feel like we belong,” AAE co-founders Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady say in a statement. “We’ve been incredibly lucky to build something we love and along the way find a community that means so much to us. The Foundation is our way of giving back. We’re grateful to Kate Spade and Harry’s for seeing that vision and helping us make it possible.”

The foundation takes its name from the charity created by Heated Rivalry characters Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov in Rachel Reid’s Game Changers book series. Shane and Ilya’s charity is named after Ilya’s late mother, Irina, who struggled with her mental health.

“We chose the name Irina Foundation because, at the heart of Heated Rivalry, Irina represents something much bigger. She reminds us that behind every struggle is a person who deserves to be seen, loved and supported,” said Jayme Alter Wilson, president of Accent Aigu Entertainment. “The Foundation is our way of honouring that message. We hope to channel the love people have for the world Rachel has created, and for Shane and Ilya, into something that can make a meaningful difference in the real world.”

Adam and Olive may no longer be fake dating, but they are coming back for more.

The Love Hypothesis author Ali Hazelwood has announced the upcoming release of a sequel to the popular novel, called The Two-Body Problem. The new book will release on Feb. 2, 2027. The writer made the announcement in a social media post Tuesday.

"'I wrote a sequel to The Love Hypothesis' is not a sentence I thought I’d say a year or so ago, but now I weirdly can’t imagine a world in which The Two-Body Problem doesn’t exist. I’m really eager to talk more about this book and how it came about in the next few months," Hazelwood wrote. "For now let me just say that the TLH movie and its cast made me fall for Adam and Olive all over again, that revisiting them was an absolute pleasure."

The announcement comes amid the recent release of The Love Hypothesis film adaptation. It debuted on Prime Video Sept. 23. Claire Scanlon directed the film that stars Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman.

Additionally, Hazelwood confirmed that MRC is developing a sequel film based on The Two-Body Problem for Amazon MGM Studios, though she said "nothing is guaranteed."

"As someone who gets VERY attached to stories and characters, I know that unannounced sequels can be blindsiding, so feel free to skip this book and overwrite it with whatever headcanon you prefer, and I’ll see you on the next one!" Hazelwood wrote.

She continued her announcement post by teasing what fans can expect from the upcoming sequel.

"If you want to read more about Adam and Olive, The Two-Body Problem spans a couple of years, and it’s a mix of slice of life, postdoctoral turmoil, and unflinching exploration of the hardest challenge one will face in a long-term relationship: deciding what to have for dinner. If you pick it up, I really hope you enjoy," Hazelwood wrote.

The Love Hypothesis follows a fake relationship between biology PhD candidate Olive Smith and hotshot professor Dr. Adam Carlsen. Through their time together, "each of their carefully calculated theories on love are thrown into chaos," according to an official description from Amazon MGM Studios.

ABC News' correspondent Will Reeve is opening up for the first time about receiving a cancer diagnosis just months after getting married.

Reeve, a New York-based correspondent, reporting for ABC News platforms and shows including Good Morning America, said on Tuesday that he was diagnosed in April with testicular cancer, a cancer that develops in the tissues of one or both testicles, according to the National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine.

Reeve, 34, said his wife, Amanda Dubin Reeve, whom he wed in January, encouraged him to get evaluated by a doctor in April after he noticed a lump in his left testicle.

An ultrasound discovered a mass in his testicle, requiring Reeve to undergo a procedure known as orchiectomy to remove his testicle.

The surgery in early May led to a diagnosis of testicular cancer, according to Reeve. He said he was diagnosed with embryonal carcinoma, an aggressive form of testicular cancer that is typically found in young to middle-aged individuals.

Following the diagnosis, Reeve said he underwent a second surgery, a retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, in June to remove dozens of lymph nodes to help prevent the cancer from spreading.

Because some of the lymph nodes removed during the six-hour procedure were cancerous, Reeve said he chose to undergo two cycles of chemotherapy to lower the odds of the cancer returning to nearly 1%.

In early July, Reeve began chemotherapy.

During his two weeks of recovery between his chemotherapy treatments, Reeve said he experienced side effects including bone pain, ringing ears, night sweats, blood clots and headaches.

At the end of July, Reeve was able to ring the bell at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City to signify the successful end of his treatment.

He said he did so with the thought of his late mom, Dana Reeve, who also underwent chemotherapy at Sloan Kettering. Dana Reeve died of lung cancer at age 44 in March 2006.

Will Reeve said he is sharing his own cancer diagnosis to help raise awareness of testicular cancer.

"I want folks to know that this is a thing that can happen. It's shocking. It's weird," he said. "It's slightly awkward to talk about just because of what we're really discussing here, but that you end up OK, almost always."

Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin have entered their parent era.

The couple announced in an Instagram post on Monday that they welcomed their first baby together on Labor Day.

"We took Labor Day literally this year," Palvin wrote in the caption of a joint post with Sprouse.

In the photo, the couple wears Dodgers jerseys and face a TV screen as a Dodger game plays. In Sprouse's arms is their baby, who is also wearing a Dodgers shirt.

ABC News has reached out to a representative for Palvin and Sprouse for comment.

A rep for Palvin confirmed to ABC News in May that she and Sprouse were expecting.

The duo had shared an Instagram post about the news with a sonogram image showing a tiny hand making a rock 'n' roll hand gesture.

Sprouse and Palvin were married on July 15, 2023, in Palvin's home country of Hungary.

In August, Sprouse appeared on Amanda Hirsch's Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast and recalled how he met Palvin at a party where she had cut him in line for the red carpet.

He said the moment felt like a rom-com.

"I was like, 'I don't care how pretty you are, you're not cutting me,'" Sprouse said. "And she turns around, and I'm wearing this red and white striped shirt, and she goes, 'What, are you a hot dog vendor?'"

Last year, Palvin shared in an Instagram post that she'd had surgery for endometriosis.

"For some years now I've been dealing with the difficulties that can come with my periods. Fatigue, severe pain, heavy and irregular flow, sleepless nights on the bathroom floor. I thought this was just how it works for me," she wrote at the time.

She continued, "[The surgery] helped me a lot, and I'm grateful I did it. Early diagnosis and treatment are very important to prevent long-term complications, and now I'm more mindful about my body to act fast if needed."

Palvin ended the August post by saying she was "excited about this new chapter of my life and now ready to get back to work."

Dennis Haskins, who is best known for his role on the hit sitcom Saved by the Bell, has died at 75, his agent confirmed to ABC News.

"It’s a tragic loss. Everyone loved Mr. Belding and those of us who got to know Dennis, loved him even more. He was a great person, and he loved, I mean absolutely LOVED his fans. He always had time for them, no matter what," his agent Jay Schachter said.

Haskins' cause of death has not been released.

He played Principal Richard Belding on three separate shows. First in the Disney Channel show Good Morning, Miss Bliss in 1989, which was later recreated into NBC's Saved by the Bell.

He starred on Saved by the Bell through the show's four-season run, from 1989 to 1993, and later reprised the role for Saved by the Bell: The New Class, which ran for seven seasons from 1993 to 2000.

Saved by the Bell is among the defining sitcoms of the '90s, following a group of high school students as they navigate adolescence. Fans of the show will remember Principal Belding's catchphrase "Hey, hey, hey, what is going on here?"

The last time Haskins played the famed principal was in 2015 when the cast -- Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Elizabeth Berkley, Mario Lopez and Tiffani Thiessen -- reunited for a Saved by the Bell sketch on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Haskins' other TV and film roles include appearances on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, A Million Ways to Die in the West, Men of a Certain Age, The Bold and the Beautiful, Victorious, Mad Men, How I Met Your Mother, New Girl and Hot in Cleveland, among others.

Reacher is coming back for even more.

Prime Video has renewed the hit series for season 6. Alan Ritchson has starred as Jack Reacher in all seasons of the popular show that is based on Lee Child's book series.

Prime Video premiered the fourth season of Reacher on Aug. 12, saying it garnered "massive global viewership" over the new episodes.

Additionally, Reacher was renewed for season 5 ahead of season 4's release back in May. Production on season 5 is currently taking place in Toronto, Canada. The fifth season will be based on the 20th book in Child's series, titled Make Me.

Season 4 of Reacher accumulated 66 million viewers globally in its first 28 days, according to numbers from Prime Video. This means it surpassed the performance of season 3. The show has received over 200 million viewers worldwide since season 1 launched in 2022.

Season 4 was based on Child’s 13th book in the series, titled Gone Tomorrow. It followed what happens "when a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a subway goes horribly wrong," according to an official synopsis. "Jack Reacher is drawn into a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless foes from the highest echelons of power."

Sylvester Stallone is back as Tulsa King.

A new trailer for the show’s fourth season has been released, showing Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi as he fights to save his empire from new threats.

“Each move drags Dwight deeper into the street instincts he left behind in New York – turning Tulsa into a battleground and Dwight into the one threat no one can afford to underestimate,” reads the season’s official description.

Season 4 also stars Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Frank Grillo, Neal McDonough, Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany. Gretchen Mol joins the cast as a series regular.

Tulsa King returns to Paramount+ on Oct. 16.

Stallone releases his new memoir, The Steps, on Sept. 29. Ahead of the book release, he sat down for an interview with The New York Times’ The Interview podcast where he reflects on his tumultuous childhood and rise to fame, as well as his struggles with an eating disorder while he was filming Rocky III.

Lindsay Lohan is set to reunite with her Mean Girls and Freaky Friday director Mark Waters for a new romance film at Netflix. Lohan will star opposite Henry Golding in the upcoming movie titled Return to You.

The upcoming movie is set in the year 2008. It follows "a powerful but lonely attorney" who "receives a very emotional DVD from a dying woman addressed to her husband. Guided only by the clues on the disc, she sets out to find him," according to its official logline.

Return to You is currently in production, Netflix revealed on Monday in an Instagram post it collaborated on with Lohan.

"Lindsay Lohan and Henry Golding star in RETURN TO YOU, now in production!" the picture's caption reads.

The photo features Lohan taking a selfie while holding up the script for Return to You.

Eric Champnella wrote the film that Lohan is producing alongside Brad Krevoy. Krevoy previously produced two other Netflix films that Lohan starred in: Falling for Christmas and Irish Wish.

The official trailer for Elsinore has arrived.

Focus Features released a new trailer for the Andrew Scott-starring film on Monday.

The movie follows "the deeply emotional and inspirational true story of Ian Charleson, a gifted actor whose greatest challenge becomes his greatest triumph. Facing his own mortality with unflinching honesty, wit, and grace, Charleson delivers a courageous performance that becomes a source of healing and inspiration for those around him," according to its official synopsis.

Charleson replaced Daniel Day-Lewis as Hamlet in London's National Theatre production of the classic play. Despite rave reviews, Charleson was dealing with complications from AIDS. He died in January 1990, weeks after performing his run in the production.

Simon Stone directed the film from a script by Stephen Beresford from an idea by Ethan Silverman.

In addition to starring, Scott produces the film. The rest of the cast includes Olivia Colman, Billie Piper, Johnny Flynn, Luke Thompson, David Dawson, Matthew Beard, Joe Locke, Monica Dolan, Georgie Glen, Sadie Soverall, Adeel Akhtar, Dickie Beau, Kadiff Kirwan, Juliet Stevenson and Peter Mullan.

Elsinore arrives in select theaters on Nov. 20.

The upcoming series adaptation of Icebreaker has found its leads.

Netflix has announced that Daisy Jelley and Connor Simos have been cast as Anastasia “Stassie” Allen and Nate Hawkins in the new college romance show based on the bestselling novel by Hannah Grace.

"She’s the transfer gunning for Olympic gold. He’s the campus star chasing the NHL. But when an accident forces their teams to share one rink, Anastasia Allen and Nate Hawkins collide—and discipline gives way to obsession, because the only thing more dangerous than wanting to win is wanting each other," according to the show's official logline.

Gossip Girl and The Bold Type's Amanda Lasher will serve as showrunner, executive producer and writer on the series. Jade Halley Bartlett created the show and will executive produce alongside Grace. Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper also executive produces for her Unwell Productions.

“I have been a fan of steamy YA since the seventh grade, reading Judy Blume stealthily hidden behind a textbook,” Lasher told Netflix when the adaptation was announced back in June. “I love this genre, and it’s been a joy working with Jade, the team at Unwell, and Netflix to bring Hannah Grace’s beloved Icebreaker novel to the screen.”

Grace’s novel Icebreaker has spent 70 consecutive weeks on The New York Times bestseller list. It was originally published in 2022 and had a wider release in 2023. The book has sold almost 5 million copies worldwide.

Madonna kicked off the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards with a star-studded performance featuring Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX.

The Queen of Pop opened Sunday night's show with her first VMAs performance in 23 years, taking the stage after the ceremony was delayed by the Baltimore Ravens-Dallas Cowboys game.

Carpenter joined Madonna early in the performance for "Bring Your Love," their house-pop collaboration from Madonna's latest album, Confessions II.

The pair got the crowd on its feet with the dance floor anthem before Charli XCX made a surprise appearance for a performance of her remix of Madonna's "Danceteria."

Madonna's opening number also featured appearances from Seth Rogen, Sombr and Julia Garner, who had previously been linked to playing Madonna in a biopic about the singer's life and career.

The performance marked a major return to the VMAs stage for Madonna, who has delivered some of the award show's most memorable moments over the decades. She was also the night's big winner, taking home seven trophies, including artist of the year.

Taylor Swift, meanwhile, made history by becoming the first recipient of the Artist Director Honors.

Dakota Johnson presented Swift with the inaugural award, recognizing the singer-songwriter's work behind the camera and contributions to music video storytelling.

Following her acceptance speech, Swift premiered the music video for her new single, "Patient Zero," which she directed and stars in alongside Johnson and Colin Farrell.

The 2026 MTV VMAs aired live Sunday night on CBS, and was simulcast on MTV and streamed on Paramount+.

Sabrina Carpenter and Margaret Qualley are joining Tom Holland on the dance floor.

The two are set to star opposite Holland in Sony Pictures’ upcoming Fred Astaire film. Carpenter will play Astaire’s frequent on-screen dance partner Ginger Rogers. Qualley will play his sister Adele Astaire. The brother and sister duo performed together on Broadway and London’s West End before Fred Astaire made it big in Hollywood.

The currently untitled film, directed by Paul King, is based on the book The Astaires: Fred & Adele by Kathleen Riley.

“I am thrilled and honored to have been entrusted with telling the story of Fred Astaire and his original dance partner — his big sister Adele — to the big screen,” King said in a statement. “Fred left a timeless legacy of dance on film — most famously in his collaborations with Ginger Rogers — while Adele’s work has been lost to history; indeed, no footage of her dancing survives.”

“The cinematic challenge of bringing to life these icons of the twentieth century is one that I could not imagine without Tom Holland, Margaret Qualley and Sabrina Carpenter by my side,” he continued.

Back in July, Holland told Good Morning America that he was about to head back into the dance studio in preparation for the role. “I did my first few rehearsals recently, and it both filled me with excitement and absolute dread,” he said. “Because I’ve got so much work to do to try to do Fred proud.”

Fake Skating has found its leads.

The film adaptation of the high school hockey romance novel by Lynn Painter has cast a couple of on-the-rise young actors in its starring roles: Sterling Point’s Amélie Hoeferle and The Shards’ Graham Campbell.

They’ll play Dani and Alec, two childhood sweethearts who reunite in high school and hatch a fake dating plot to help each other reach their respective goals. Dani is an academically gifted student who wants more extracurricular activities to impress Harvard and Alec is a talented ice hockey player who wants to improve his reputation and impress NHL scouts.

Fake Skating marks the first book by Painter to get a screen adaptation. As previously reported, The Fault in Our Stars director Josh Boone is on board to direct. Morgan Lehmann and Victoria Bata wrote its screenplay while Boone and his writing partner Knate Lee handled its revisions.

Both Hoeferle and Campbell had breakout TV roles this year. Hoeferle plays Ramona Campbell in the Prime Video hit coming-of-age drama series Sterling Point, while Campbell plays Thom Wright in the FX thriller series The Shards.

A new trailer for the AMC+ half-hour drama has been unveiled, giving a fresh look at the reimagining of the Baba Yaga myth based on the play by Kat Sandler.

The trailer, set to Alanis Morissette’s cover of “Season of the Witch,” shows Noah Reid’s private investigator Rapp teaming up with Clark Backo’s local detective Carson to investigate the case of missing young heir Henry Park, played by Heated Rivalry breakout Hudson Williams.

Making things all the more mysterious is an enigmatic university professor played by Carrie-Anne Moss and Henry’s roommate Logan, also played by Williams, who bears an uncanny resemblance to his missing friend.

Yaga, a Crave Original series, debuts its first two episodes on AMC+ Friday, Oct. 23. New episodes will debut every Friday, culminating in a two-episode finale on Friday, Nov. 27.

Pour yourself a cup of ambition on Friday, because it's Dolly Parton's day.

Dozens of municipalities and one state have declared Sept. 25 Dolly Parton Day, a celebration timed to the date's nod to Parton's beloved hit song, "9 to 5."

While Tennessee, Parton's home state, already recognizes Jan. 19 -- her birthday -- as Dolly Parton Day, and is looking to add a Sept. 25 "9 to 5 Day," California became the first state to officially establish Sept. 25 as an annual Dolly Parton Day.

Governor Gavin Newsom signed SB 931 by Senators Shannon Grove (R-Bakersfield) and John Laird (D-Santa Cruz), which establishes Sept. 25 as Dolly Parton Day in California.

"We could all afford to live a little more like Dolly," Newsom said in a statement. "Be kind, be humble, and have some fun…Be a diamond in a rhinestone world. With this bill, we are not just establishing a day to celebrate Dolly Parton, we are creating an annual reminder to us, every year, to live the way she did — joyfully, graciously, and with a whole lot of heart."

Where else is Dolly Parton Day being celebrated?

While state lawmakers in Tennessee will have to wait until January 2027 to review and vote on the proposal to add a Sept. 25 "9 to 5 Day," cities and local governments across the state have separately declared Sept. 25 as Dolly Parton Day, including Nashville, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the town of Pittman Center.

In early September, Manhattan Borough president Brad Hoylman-Sigal also declared Sept. 25 as Dolly Parton Appreciation Day across the borough.

Cities and counties also recognizing Dolly Parton Day include Portland, Oregon, and Hays County, Texas, and Montgomery County, Texas.

Why Dolly Parton is being celebrated?

In each of the proclamations declaring Dolly Parton Day on Sept. 25, California, cities and counties have not only recognized Parton's work as an entertainer, but many are putting a spotlight on Parton's advocacy for literacy.

Her Imagination Library, which launched in 1995 and has distributed over 330 million free books worldwide, is highlighted in almost every declaration.

How is Dolly Parton Day being celebrated?

Across the country, celebrations are being held to honor the late singer.

Nashville will honor Parton with pink lights and Dolly posters across the city, according to the official website for the city. The website also states that Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will donate all proceeds on Sept. 25 from their Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk to the Nashville Public Library and the Imagination Library.

A daytime celebration filled with live music and more will also be held on Sept. 25 in San Francisco's Union Square.

New Orleans-based marching group, Krewe of Dolly, will lead a parade through the French Quarter and end at the New Orleans Jazz Museum to celebrate Parton.

Taylor Swift's new music is here.

The singer released four new songs on Friday as an "encore" addition to her record-setting album The Life of a Showgirl.

The newly-released songs include "Patient Zero," "Babylon," Cleveland!" and "Pink Clouding."

The songs are Swift's first new music since she wed NFL star Travis Kelce in July, and her song "Cleveland!" pays tribute to Kelce, whom she calls "the love of my life."

In announcing the new music earlier this week, Swift told fans the songs were "born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made," referring to The Life of a Showgirl.

The album, Swift's 12th, set a record as the biggest album debut in history, with more than 4 million equivalent album units sold in the U.S. alone in the first week. The Life of a Showgirl was also 2025’s top-selling album, according to Billboard.

"I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max [Martin] and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album," Swift wrote in a social media post Wednesday. "Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs."

The four new songs on The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore follow the release of "I Knew It I Knew You," which Swift released earlier this year for Toy Story 5.

Swift's new music will arrive two days before she is honored at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards with the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honors award.

The "Opalite" singer is nominated for nine awards, including video of the year and artist of the year.
